Through Life Support accounts for up to 30% of a bid assessment marking scheme for design contracts. Our engineers have a wealth of experience in ensuring platform designs are optimised for support activities, thereby contributing and adding value to any winning proposition. We offer: y y Supportability Assurance: the traceability of ILS and through-life considerations as part of design; y y Supportability Case Reports, which document Supportability evidence and claims, and, demonstrable compliance with, for example, the UK MoD’s Support Solutions Envelope; y y Maintenance Task Analysis; y y Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM); y y Strategic Maintenance Reviews; y y Ease of Maintenance Assessments: Identification and optimisation of support resource requirements through engineering analysis. Design for Support Type 31e Frigate Competition BMT is a member of Team 31, shortlisted in the UK’s Type 31(e) Frigate competition. Team 31 is a fully integrated project team comprising Babcock, Thales, Odense Maritime Technology and BMT; BMT is leading naval platform design, customisation, and technical support. The team’s Arrowhead 140 design is engineered to minimise through-life costs, and incorporates comprehensive safety and environmental management processes and compliance. QEC Supportability BMT has been a key supplier of resources into the Aircraft Carrier Alliance since 2000, working within a “Rainbow Team” comprising numerous industry partners and UK MoD. We applied our expertise in Supportability to ensure that the platform design characteristics and planned logistics resources met system requirements, whilst identifying and minimising whole-life costs.
