Through Life Support Services
We undertake Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) management, analysis and assurance activities to assess and improve the design and supporting functions throughout an asset’s lifecycle, improving availability and contributing to reduced whole life costs. We offer: y y R&M Management: Developing cost efficient and technically effective R&M programmes; Requirement setting; Design for Reliability (DfR) expertise; Production of R&M Case and DfR Assessment Reports; Establishing and facilitating Data Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action Systems (DRACAS). y y R&M Prediction: Predicting the failure and restoration rates of components and an overall system, including hardware and software. y y R&M Analysis: Evaluating design feasibility, comparing design options and trade-offs and assessing R&M improvement; Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Maintainability and Testability Analysis. y y R&M Testing: Supporting the planning and management of Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), Reliability Qualification Testing (RQT), Production Reliability Acceptance Testing (PRAT) and Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)/Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS). Reliability & Maintainability R&M for QEC aircraft carrier We produced the Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carrier R&M Model and Case Report as a snapshot during manufacture, which provided assurance of the predicted level of in-service ship availability and activities to mitigate the in-service R&M risks. Type 45 maintenance optimisation BMT is contracted to perform maintenance optimisation on the Type 45 destroyer Power Improvement Project, as part of the Alliance team ILS programme, through the application of FMECA, RCM, Economic LORA and Maintenance Task Analysis.
